Special Events and Special Projects and Programs are an important part of the Wilmette Arts Guild. We have sponsored a number of trips to Mexico through our Dick W. Davis Events Program. We have photographed and chronicled quickly disappear native celebrations in Mexico. Our exhibits include guest speakers such as Ruth Weisberg, Chair of the Arts Department at USC and an award winning artist. We have sponsored artist retreats and en plein aire events. We encourage our local young artists by awarding thousands in scholarships for high school seniors and less amounts for artist from junior high through high school.
