Dick Davis became a friend of the Wilmette Arts Guild when he first read the Wilmette Arts Guild Newsletter. He was very impressed that a small local arts group could produce such a quality publication. He contacted the president of the Guild, Julie Ressler, and soon afterward Dick was contributing articles for the newsletter. Dick is fascinated with the Mexican Culture and has a desire to preserve those cultural events, costumes and celebrations so that coming generations will have a recorded history of these times. It is a very worthy goal. Dick began to fund cultural excursions to Mexico for Wilmette Arts Guild members. The selected individuals traveled to the events and recorded in photographs, videos and text and returned home to have what they recorded published and celebrated by our community.Please feel free to wander the pages of the Dick W.
